O Island In The Sun - Pictures of The Island in St. Ives, Cornwall

	Evening falls on the NCI Coastwatch station with Godrevy Lighthouse in the background.		And this is why the coast needs watching! The sea gets pretty rough even on the Porthgwidden side.

	The Island is popular with kite-flyers (and kite-sellers given the amount that get blown away!).		This was originally a fortification used for deterring the French (good idea) and smugglers (ungood idea).
