Originally called the Forty Ferrets but the clientele ate thirty seven of them! A wooden 'spit and sawdust' sort of pub beloved of the lager and big screen footie brigade.
A la carte real ale with a regular supply of guest beers. On the other hand we did spend much of December last year sticking our heads in for a beer and some nosh. Got the beer, never got any nosh. I'm sure that there is food in there somewhere, it's just that we couldn't get at it.
